About this Course

Shape your creative potential in this pottery program – perfect for beginners! Students will learn the foundational steps for throwing clay on the pottery wheel. The instructor will provide demonstrations and support to shape and trim bowls and cups, practice glazing techniques and prepare works for kiln firing. Hand-building techniques will also be offered to those students interested. No experience necessary! Please note: Clay must be purchased through The ACT website for an additional fee (price varies according to clay, including glazing and firing). This class is intended for new students with little or no prior experience. While returning students are welcome to enroll, priority will be granted to new participants. In the event of a waitlist, returning students may be contacted to accommodate new students due to high demand.
